K&N.It improves both performance and mileage.

K&N is a waste of money, don’t listen to these people, even though Acura is an American branding of the Honda, still its a honda car at heart, go japanese brand, search injen, and other japanese company, intake doesn’t really really matter they all work the same as long as its a CAI, which provide mid to high end gains, rather than short ram. Better yet you can go to a trust worthy performance shop and get yourself intake piping done custom, to satisfy your exact need. work just as good. :)

the one that came with it from the factory

Will it fit in my Prelude? If so, what years would fit? Thanks

It would fit but I dont know why you would do that just buy a prelude engine.

honda motors tend to be the same buildup among different models and it also depends on what motor your trying to put in it

So I have a 1998 Integra GSR 4 door sedan, and I want to add an aftermarket exhaust. I want it to look and sound good, but I don’t want it to be too loud because I’m going to move to California and you’ll get pulled over every 15 minutes for a really loud exhaust.

Thanks..

Lol 4 door Integra, damn… Anyways exhaust note is all mainly dependent on if the piping has resonator, and also if ur muffler’s resonated, obviously any of your typical cannon tips will be loud as anything. So get something that looks like stock, resonated tip, Greddy Evo 2, Apexi WS2, Tanabe Medellion, Comptech exhaust, Mugen just to name a few. But obviously the most bang for your buck way is to just go to get custom one done, tell them you want stock looking ish resonated tip and still looks nice while being illegal and all. get custom piping done from them, use material like mild steel as thats all it’s needed for a decent exhaust, no one’s going to bother look under ur car. it’s the cheapest way to go about doing it. It’ll cost you heaps less than getting a full cat back system n installing it.

go with the greddy evo2 exhaust system.

1.Disconnect the negative, then the positive battery cable..
2.Wait at least three minutes before performing any repair.
3.On the 1.8L engine, remove the air intake duct.
4.Remove the starter cable from terminal B located on the back of the solenoid.
5.Remove the black/white wire from the S (solenoid) terminal.
6.Remove the two starter mounting bolts, then remove the starter from the vehicle.

Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure

and here’s a way to rebuild the starter by spending only $20.

200hp on boost vs a all motor bulit up to 200hp sams car who will win.???? can some one let me know please

I think it would depend on the power band and which engine is able to output the higher HP for longer. Also torque needs to be taken into consideration.

on boost because more is capable from that

boost without a doubt. You will have more torque and the power will come on faster. Also the boosted car will be cheaper to build.

No really, because so few things go wrong.

depends on what you need to repair, but it will run you more than say a honda, because it is the luxury version of honda motors

They are not supposed to but they are comparing with big giants like Mercedes benz , lexus and Bmw so they have to present their self as the most expensive people on earth

No-own a 06 tsx-had the basic oil/filter changes, new tires, etc. Still with the original brakes-94,000+problem free miles (bought it new 11/06)

Im not sure if its the K20 or the K24

2002-2004 RSX-S is the k20a2 series.
2005-2006 RSX-S is the k20z1 series.

If you look at your engine block, it should say either stamped into the block, or on a little metal label.

K20.The K24 is used in the TSX .

K20, but definitely a very under tuned version compared to the type R’s K20 :P so, go hard or go home, type R or just forget about it. U’d want a TSX over a RSX type S, but if you already own one and you realise you’ve made a tremendous mistake because you thought a type S would be fast and wanted to do up a replica cheap version of the type R then it’s ok. Don’t cry, u’ve failed but it’s not the end of the world or anything.

Hey i just got my P Plates and im in Australia
im going to buy an Acura Integra 1994 VTI-R
when i get my opens(3 years) i plan on putting a new engine into it
I want an incredibly fast engine
What engine would fit in well and be quick?
would a type R engine fit?
Or would i be better off buying a new vti-r engine and turbo/twin turboing it or even SC/twin SC
just need some input
Thanks in advance fellas!.

Mate, you’re in Australia you can ask in Australia, why are you asking about acuras in American site when you’re driving a Honda DC4 Integra. Anyhow you have 3 years and many option, if you’re still going to do an engine swap in the future then you have these few options. You can either go B18c DC2R engine, AUDM, or go K20, B18C turbo might be a cheap and good option as K20 are not cheap to get, but if you honestly want the massive NA performance K20 obviously is the best choice you have.

Will they fit

Only if you push real hard.

If you buy the crrect size.

That is an awful wheel brand. Cheap, will bend…what are the offsets? the size? the bolt pattern?

i have a 97 integra ls, this might sound retarded but would any 5 spd honda or acura shift knobs fit my car? or do i have to get strictly an integra shift knob? thanks

You better use an Integra shift knob or the Acura fairies will get after you.

if its a manual the shift knob screws on/off and they are pretty interchangable. good luck and happy tuning.
